Mr. Dolan transitioned into a new role this year, helping keep our 9th and 10th grade students on track and in school every day. He also continues to provide support to students in his roles as a coach and club sponsor, providing many engaging volunteer activities for LPH students. Thank you Mr. Dolan!

These students' hard work and dedication were recognized by the judges, and the awarding of Superior and Excellent ratings for their performances!

Nine members of the LPHS Band performed at the Florida Bandmasters Association District 13 Solo & Ensemble Festival in Port St. Lucie on February 1. Our musicians from LPHS took home a total of 6 Superior ratings and 2 Excellent ratings from the music judges. Our LPHS Percussion Ensemble also performed at the festival and earned a Superior Rating! Band students performing solos were Kris Acosta, Carlos Astorquiza, Alex Brito, Emma Chaffin, Jose Rivas Fernandez and Alexis Pattie. Billy Meddings and Carlos Astorquiza also performed a piano duet Congratulations to senior band members Alex Brito and Carlos Astorquiza for advancing to the State Solo & Ensemble Festival next month! 🐲 LPH students taking Digital Information Technology are given the opportunity to take Microsoft Office Industry Certification Exams in each of the Microsoft Office programs. This group of five students recently earned Industry Certification in Microsoft PowerPoint by demonstrating their skills on a rigorous certification exam. Congratulations to these students as they build their college and career readiness at Lake Placid High School!

🐲13 Lake Placid High School students recently earned Industry Certification as Adobe Certified Professionals in Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop. These students worked hard to prepare and then crushed their exams. They are now working to become Adobe Certified Visual Designers as they learn and eventually test on Adobe Illustrator. An Adobe Certified Professional credential proves that you have the job-ready skills employers need. Congratulations to all of these students on their well-earned success!

Congratulations to our Mid Florida Roofing Services, Florida Lakes Spa, and Florida Lake Surgical Athlete of the Week WINNER, Wyatt Knapek! Wyatt is a member of our wrestling team here at LPHS. Wyatt placed 3rd overall at the Spiegel Memorial Tournament in Sebring. Wyatt also holds a 3.46 GPA in the classroom. Congrats, Wyatt!

🥳It's time to Celebrate our LPH Dragon Success. On Friday, February 7th, starting at 1:00 pm, LPH is holding our Semester 1 Academic Celebration. Students who meet two or more of the criteria received notification via Skyward and will be able to attend the celebration.
