Congratulations to Alexis Pattie, Owen Santis, and Kamylo Ruelas for being selected to perform in the Florida Nine Star Honor Band at the Florida Bandmasters Association’s Summer Convention in Orlando last Thursday.

This year's Nine Star Honor Band is comprised of 120 outstanding freshmen band students from across the state of Florida. We are proud to have three of our own Dragon Band members representing Lake Placid and Highlands County this year!

Owen represented Lake Placid High School with excellence at this three-day camp hosted by Bonita Springs High School and Florida Gulf Coast University, where he joined student leaders from across Southwest Florida to sharpen his conducting and leadership skills under the guidance of expert directors and clinicians.
