The Class of 2029 is gearing up for an upcoming car wash fundraiser, and we need your support to help make it a success! 💙🐉

We are collecting the following items:
🪣 Liquid soap

🪣 Sponges
🪣 Rags or towels

🍓☀️ A Sweet End to the Week at LPHS! ☀️🍓

On Friday, our LPHS Sunshine Committee rolled in the Sunshine Trolley to treat our amazing staff to a fun and refreshing end to the week! 🌈🚎

Early this morning, a voicemail was left at the Lakeland Police Department regarding Lake Placid High School. Immediately, the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office deemed this a HOAX after clearing the campus and that there is no threat or bomb. School is operating as normal this morning.

Our LPHS AVID students took an exciting and inspiring field trip to Florida Gulf Coast University today! Students toured the campus, visited college classrooms, and explored the impressive Alico Arena, getting a firsthand look at college life.

This experience was a powerful opportunity for goal-setting, especially for our freshman and sophomore AVID students, as they begin thinking about their futures beyond high school. Seeing a college campus up close helps make dreams feel attainable and motivates students to stay focused, work hard, and plan ahead.

AVID continues to make a meaningful impact at LPHS by empowering students with the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed in school and beyond. We’re proud of our students for representing LPHS so well and taking important steps toward their future goals! 💚📚✨
