🎓🐉 Dragon Scholar Spotlight: Tina Wu 🐉🎓

Lake Placid High School is proud to recognize LPHS Senior Tina Wu for her outstanding academic achievement!

Through her South Florida State College Dual Enrollment program, Tina recently participated in the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference held March 6–7, 2026, at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. This prestigious event provides students from across the state the opportunity to present original research and engage with scholars from many colleges and universities.

Tina presented her research project titled “A Direct Comparison of Dental Care Usage by Hispanic Immigrants in their Home Country and Host Country: a Cross-sectional Study in the United States.” Her work explores important differences in dental care access and usage among Hispanic immigrants, highlighting how healthcare behaviors change between countries.

We are incredibly proud of Tina for representing Lake Placid High School, South Florida State College, and our Dragon community at the state level. Her dedication to research, academic excellence, and curiosity exemplifies the very best of Dragon Pride.
