The quilt was started last spring through a special collaboration between American Legion members and LPHS SGA students. Community volunteer Linda Boucher generously completed the quilt, bringing everyone’s hard work together into one meaningful finished piece.
We are grateful for opportunities like this that connect our Dragons with the community while honoring those who have served our country. 🐉💚

🎉🐉 DRAGON ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: LILLY CANEVARI! 🐉🎉
LPHS is proud to celebrate Lake Placid’s own Lilly Canevari for earning national recognition as a member of the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) National Agri-Marketing Association team! Lilly, who is studying Agribusiness at ABAC, helped her team earn an impressive 4th-place finish in the 2026 NAMA Collegiate Marketing Plan Competition, competing against top college programs from across the United States and Canada!
The team developed MelonMulch, an innovative concept for a biodegradable, bio-based mulch film made from unmarketable watermelon rinds. Their project challenged students to create a comprehensive marketing strategy while addressing sustainability needs in the agriculture industry.

LPHS is proud to celebrate Lake Placid’s own Lilly Canevari for earning national recognition as a member of the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) National Agri-Marketing Association team! Lilly, who is studying Agribusiness at ABAC, helped her team earn an impressive 4th-place finish in the 2026 NAMA Collegiate Marketing Plan Competition, competing against top college programs from across the United States and Canada!
The team developed MelonMulch, an innovative concept for a biodegradable, bio-based mulch film made from unmarketable watermelon rinds. Their project challenged students to create a comprehensive marketing strategy while addressing sustainability needs in the agriculture industry.
