The LPHS Senior Spotlight is on Tressa Fentress
Join us for the 1st Annual Lake Placid High School Fine Arts Night this Friday, May 3 from 5:00-6:00 pm in the High School Commons.
Fine Arts Night will feature an art display showcasing the creativity of LPHS Art students, refreshments prepared by LPHS Culinary students, a performance by the LPHS Concert Band, and a featured performance by the rock band YMD! YMD is comprised of LPHS senior musicians Yasmin Fernandez, Michael Mejia, and Deven Verscheure!
Admission is free! Donations to our fine arts programs will be graciously accepted.

The LPH Teaching Academy students continued to explore the wonderful teaching opportunities that Highlands County has to offer. They had an exciting visit to the Sebring Pre-K Center, where they spent the day with 3-5 year old students, as they learned what it is like in the day of a preschool teacher.

Today we had 3 of our athletes sign scholarships to play at the collegiate level. Brooke Walker signed with Lake Sumter State College to play volleyball, Jenna Walker with Lake Sumter State College to play volleyball, and Madisyn Garduno with Florida National University to play softball. We are extremely proud of these athletes and their accomplishments in the classroom and on court/field. #SigningDay 🐉🏐🥎
Congratulations to the 15 Lake Placid High School students who earned Industry Certification in Entrepreneurship and Small Business last week! These students worked hard to master skills related to Entrepreneurial and Small Business Concepts, Business Financials, Production & Distribution, and Marketing & Sales. This certification engages and prepares students who will pursue additional post- secondary training or those who elect to enter the small business sector immediately upon high school graduation.
